BounceX Shows Pride

How BounceX celebrates and embraces the LGBTQI+ community.

I’m Taylor, co-lead of BounceOut, our LGBTQI+ employee resource group, and an Executive Assistant here at BounceX. As a child, I can remember anxiously waiting for December to arrive and the magical feelings the holidays provoke. As an adult, I’m more excited about a different time of year—Pride month! There’s nothing like walking down 5th avenue in NYC looking at the Pride decorations and rainbow flags in some of our favorite clients’ storefronts.

While Pride means different things for different people, for us here at BounceX, Pride is about the freedom to be exactly who you want to be. BounceOut is committed to fostering a community among LGBTQ people in tech and building a workplace in which every employee—regardless of sexuality, gender identity or gender expression—can not only feel comfortable at work, but they can actively thrive.

BounceOut has worked tirelessly to create a Pride month calendar of events that incorporates education, community-building activities and support for LGBTQI-owned businesses and individuals.

Here’s a snapshot of what Pride 2019 looks like at BounceX:

  • June 6: Lunchtime Pride Chat with Stephen Caesar (Global Audit Lead, Paypal) and Tiffany Roesler, Director of Nonprofit Leadership at Give Lively, moderated by Andres Moran, VP & GM of Ad Marketplace and the Executive Sponsor of BounceOut.
  • June 17: History of Drag: Panel & Performance
  • June 19: Pride Spin Class at LGBTQ-owned, NYC boutique spin studio Monster Cycle
  • June 25: Pride Yoga at BounceX headquarters
  • June 27: Pride Happy Hour at BounceX headquarters
  • June 30: 2019 World Pride March

We love to give back here at BounceX, and this year our Pride Happy Hour raffle, auction and other festivities will benefit The Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ+) young people under 25. We couldn’t be more proud to be able to contribute to The Trevor Project and all that they’re doing to support LGBTQ young people. If you’d like to contribute to The Trevor Project, please donate here.
